A gift choice belongs with the gift
Let the shopper decide before the product reaches the cart.
Gift wrapping is part of the product decision: which packaging fits, how many units need wrapping, what it costs, and whether a message should travel with it.
When those choices are deferred to a cart note or a follow-up email, the customer has to describe something the storefront could have shown. HBN: Gift Wrap adds one focused selector near the product purchase controls. The shopper sees an image, name, description, and live price for each eligible option, then allocates wrapping to the units that actually need it.
Keep gift intent attached to the order.
The selected wrapping is added through Shopify product variants and cart lines, while the option and gift message remain visible in the cart and order data. That gives fulfillment a concrete service to pack instead of an ambiguous request hidden in general notes.
Start with one recognizable packaging choice
A clear photo and a plain name such as “Everyday kraft” do more work than a long description. Set the price to zero for complimentary wrapping or enter the amount the store should charge. If packaging stock is limited, track it through Shopify rather than accepting more selections than the team can fulfill.
