Before scanning

Decide what should be findable before calling a path broken.

HBN: Catalog Findability reads product publication, collection membership, and selected navigation menus together. It distinguishes a provable Shopify data dead end from a path that may still depend on search, a theme section, or a direct campaign link.

Audit the menus shoppers use

Choose the default menus or the exact menus rendered by the current theme. Because the app does not read theme code, missing navigation can be marked Not theme-verified instead of being mislabeled as broken.

Record deliberate exceptions

Confirm products that should be browseable and exclude products, collections, tags, or vendors intended for direct links, support, wholesale, or another controlled route. That keeps later scans focused.

Keep repairs narrow

The app can publish a collection or add a product to a manual collection after a fresh check and confirmation. Navigation, automated collection logic, product publication, and theme changes remain in Shopify Admin.

What does Catalog Findability check?

It follows published products through collection membership, collection publication, and the Shopify menus you choose, then explains whether Shopify data proves a route, proves a dead end, or leaves a theme-dependent question.

Does the app read or modify theme code?

No. Theme sections, storefront search, and app blocks can create paths that Shopify Admin data cannot prove. The app labels those cases as not theme-verified instead of calling them broken.

Does every product without a menu path count as broken?

No. Some products are intentionally reached through search, campaign pages, theme sections, or direct links. The audit keeps merchant intent separate from a dead end that Shopify data can prove.

When is the Free plan enough?

Free supports a complete catalog-path audit for one storefront strategy. Pro is intended for teams that need several strategies, saved exclusions, or approved batch repairs.
